Youth News

              WOW, we are already into August!  And I know you are all trying to get those last few weeks of fun in before school starts.

            Be prepared EVERY Sunday in August for our Youth Outing.  Come to Sunday School and bring comfortable clothes, shoes, swim suit and towel.  We will take off after church to Kemah Boardwalk when you least expect it!!

            Thanks to Alyssa and Anthony for stepping up and helping in the Nursery with our little ones.  Your help for the pre-school swimming party and Leader’s Meeting was greatly appreciated!!!

            We will be welcoming Nicolas to the Youth Department this month!!  Siblings in the Youth Department---watch out!!!  We are looking forward to Nicolas joining us!!

            Our Sunday School lessons have been about David.  We have been studying in the book of 1 Samuel.  We learned of David’s courage when he told Saul in 1 Samuel 17:37, “David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.”  We need to have Godly courage when the devil throws obstacles at us because we know that the Lord will equip us to overcome!! You will be facing “GIANTS” when you go back to school, so be sure and take the Lord with you daily!!

            We will be giving out School Supplies, so be sure and bring your list in after school starts.

            Please pray for protection over our children as they head back to school!!  They face so many obstacles today!! They need all the prayer they can get!!!  Thanks!
